About This Trip
Wow! Forster is one of these dive locations that really has it all: wall diving, underwater caves, archways, shipwrecks, pinnacles, tropical and temperate fishlife as well as colonies of Grey Nurse Sharks. The water has an impressive clarity, meaning that observing and photographing the marine life is an unforgettable experience. There are numerous dive sites to choose from and the Pinnacle has to be dived to be believed!
Dive Sites
Pinnacle 24 - 40 metres
A very big fish dive - when this site goes off it is truly amazing! Gray nurse sharks, giant bull rays, large crayfish, massive one metre jewfish, schooling kingfish, trevally, yellowfin tuna and marlin have all been spotted here.
Seals Rock - Big Rock 10 - 30 metres
This is home to the largest congregation of grey nurse sharks in Australia. Up to 60 sharks have been sighted on one dive alone and some up to 4m long.
Seals Rock - Little Rock 20 - 35 metres
A good spot to dive with the grey nurse sharks, schooling fish, large black cod, giant bull rays, bronze whalers and wobbegong sharks.
Jimmy’s Cave 10 - 40 metres
This is a really long, very impressive swim-thru with lobsters, cod, schools of jewfish and grey nurse sharks. You will also find pretty black coral trees.
S.S Satara 42 metres
One of the largest wrecks on the east coast at 125m long, the Satara is very impressive. It went down in a storm in 1910.
